Ridgeway on May 11, 1875.  The first church building was built in
1888.  Mrs. Ridgeway donated trees from her farm for much of
the lumber that went into the structure.  The church was
remodeled in 1922, with the old building incorporated within.
In 1976, the church building was remodeled to
accommodate the growing congregation.  The
sanctuary was enlarged, a corner baptistery was
installed,  an inside ramp installed, and
a fellowship hall was added.

By 2002, the congregation had outgrown the building. The members of Wheatland Christian
Church prayerfully considered their options.  Through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, a
decision was made to build a new building at the intersection of Highways 50 and 550 .
a part of the old church.   God blessed our efforts and the new church building was complete.
